Labpro 2000 Ltd is a specialist provider of information management systems including LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).

Labpro 2000 Ltd operates from Lower Hutt New Zealand and has a business representative in Melbourne Austrailia.

The main product, eQual, is a QA solution for any testing. eQual can be used for the simplest of testing through to the most complex of manufacturing sample registration and testing schemes. eQual handles automatic sample and testing registration for 'in-process' and finished product, result entry, result validation, invoicing, quality reporting, product grading and certification through to finished product release. Results can be automatically recorded from any communication capable laboratory test instrument. Finished product status can be exported to various 'manufacturing' systems.

eQual has been developed over a 7-year period building on our LabPro product and has been successfully sold and implemented in all of the major New Zealand dairy manufacturing companies, a major wool-testing laboratory, water and effluent treatment plants and commercial laboratories throughout New Zealand.

eQual will run via a web browser such as IE, and will eventually be database independant.

The Future
We intend marketing and supporting the eQual product worldwide. We are continuing to enhance the product in keeping with new industry and international standards of technology, and expect to expand the marketing of the product internationally.

Staff

Lex Wallace, was the Managing Director and was responsible for the initial development of the laboratory software back in 1988. The development is headed by Colin Hyde who has worked on LabPro and eQual developments since 1992. Nathan Smith and Justin McEwen have been with us since 2001 & 2002 and are responsible for the Java re-write of LabPro into a full browser application. Delwyn Martin has had 9 years of LabPro experience gained within the Dairy industry.

Maturity and Experience
Labpro 2000 Ltd, with the key developers of eQual, and along with the current owner (Managing Director) has a great depth of product and industry experience. Labpro 2000 Ltd provides support and maintenance for all of its customers from the Wellington, New Zealand offices. Finco Consultants are the Australian agency for Labpro 2000 Ltd. This market appears to be very receptive to the added value and cost savings that eQual can offer manufacturers; in particular of food products.
